Hi. I am on Windows 7. I probably had an old version of VLC and my videos were working fine. I was offered a new version which I accepted to download, but since then I can't see my videos. The message says it's a crash... Maybe I didn't download the software completely or correctly... I don’t know. So, I’m trying to uninstall the new version from my computer and the old one and then download it again from the internet, but I can't seem to uninstall it. I went to the control panel and I don't even see the VLC icon anymore. I'm frustrated. Can someone please help me?

Go to This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files and look for the installation location of vlc
If not, install it as if it had never been on your computer and it will already inform you that an older version is installed.

I uninstalled VLC from my computer and reinstalled it. But when I try to open a video with it, I get the message: VLC crash reporting. Oops, VLC media player just crashed. Would you like to send a bug report to the development team? Or I only hear the sound with a green band in the center without seeing the image. What should I do please? Thank you very much.

Hello,
Reinstall VLC from the publisher's website: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Download and install Revo Uninstaller to properly uninstall VLC: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/19405-revo-uninstaller/

Hello. I downloaded and installed Revo Uninstaller to properly uninstall VLC from the suggested site and then reinstalled VLC from the editor's website: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/. I'm not sure what I've done (maybe deleted some system applications or something). Since then, I've been getting a full-screen message: Microsoft Warning Alert. Error: no 268d3X8938(3). Tel.: 1-888-648-5737. Do not ignore this critical alert. If you close this page, your computer access will be disabled to.....and it goes on. And another message that says: p2. regardensy.mobi. This site has been put in the background. Since then, my computer has been extremely slow.
What should I do? Am I in need of professional IT help? Should I be worried about these messages? I need help, please. Thank you very much.
