Hello,
I purchased a smart TV a little over a week ago. I was able to stream movies via WiFi, but for the past few days, the films have been lagging and stopping in the middle of viewing.
Is this due to the network or a technical problem with the TV?

We don’t know your internet speed... so we can’t guess..
We also don’t know the model of your TV, so we can’t determine what it is capable of doing..?
-- Test your speed here https://www.speedtest.net/fr and not via Wi-Fi.. and share the results link here..
In my opinion, a TV connected by cable has a better chance of functioning well than wireless...
What is your BOX and your internet provider...? How far are you from the BOX...? Are there walls, concrete slabs, or appliances between the two...???
On which channels does it freeze..? What is your OS (Android for example..)? What application are you using to watch these channels..? How many devices are connected in the house.. (Phone, tablet, PC, PSx)
Are you registered..? Did you subscribe to a paid plan..?
These are all questions that arise to try to understand how this HAIER works at your place.
