Unable to disable HDD password

Hello,

When I start my PC (Acer Aspire), I have to enter a password for the HDD, the password being jaky.
I would like to disable it, but while searching the forums, the answers I found suggest going into the BIOS, security tab, and disabling it from Set HDD Password. However, this option is grayed out and I don't have access to it.
Any solution?
Thanks

Configuration: Android / Chrome 69.0.3497.100

Hi,

If you need to enter a password, you must have set it up somewhere....

You know this password, I suppose? How did you activate it? Who/what asks you for this password at startup?

I know this password.
I think I activated it when installing Ubuntu, I must have gone through several manipulations because my boot was blocked.
I'll give you the exact message at startup:

Harddisk security
SATA Port 0 TOSHIBA MQ01ABD100 Lock

As I said at the beginning, typing this into Google, I only found solutions that didn't work in my case (the Set HDD Password is grayed out).

Strange.

Can you provide screenshots/photos of your BIOS, particularly in the security tab?

This will help to see a bit more of what the BIOS says, but it's surprising that it asks for a password... Especially since this is indeed a HDD protection password coming from the BIOS.

When I haven't set a supervisor Password:

And when I set one:

I think I need to access Set HDD Password and then enter the password already set twice with an empty password to remove it, but that option is grayed out..

So there is indeed a "Password on Boot" option that requires configuration...

If you set a supervisor password and a user password, you still can't change the HDD password, I suppose?

Nor can you disable the option that requires a password on boot?

There's nothing left but to unplug the PC, remove the battery, and hold the "power" button for about 30 seconds to see if it lifts the "frozen" status... I've seen that in solutions that have allowed to bypass this status. Otherwise, the only option left would be the BIOS battery.

By disconnecting the battery, do you mean opening the computer and removing the battery?
