Pop.orange certificate revoked?

Solved

Hello,

I have a problem with my TB messaging, namely that I cannot retrieve emails from my various boxes from Orange. My antivirus AVAST sends me the following notification: Avast has blocked access to pop.orange because the server certificate has been revoked.

I have attempted to shut down TB and the PC without any results. I also checked the certificates and it says permanent validity.

Can someone help me?

For your information, I am on W10

Thank you in advance.....

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 62.0

Hello;

If it helps to reassure you, you are not alone because I just received the same message from Kaspersky..
However, I just received some emails!
I think the issue is temporary and comes from Orange (subject to confirmation) >>> No solution for now
See you later

Sincerely

Indeed, I was wondering if it was related to Orange. But for now, on my end, no change..... I will wait a little longer, but this has been going on since very early this morning.....

As mentioned above, I received some emails...
I think this will be resolved quickly in my opinion?
Personally, I temporarily disabled the analysis of encrypted connection controls under Kaspersky because I kept getting the message on my desktop
See you!

Is that what allowed you to receive emails? If so, can you tell me how to do the same with Avast? And when should I reactivate...

Hello

I am on Linux and I have the same problem; it doesn't come from the antivirus... unless it's Clamav...

Hello,

Thank you for the info, I tried but it still doesn't work knowing that in between I restarted the PC. This actually triggered a small W10 update..... Best regards

Hello;

You're right!
This morning I unchecked that box, restarted the machine and no message!
I just did the same on another computer and the message came back??
So I'm going to restart the first PC to check
Personally, I think the best solution is related to the antivirus by disabling the option to scan certificates..... With Kaspersky it works without doing anything except confirming the "Continue" message twice and no more messages until the next startup (I think it's also possible with Avast, maybe if it's the paid version?)

On my side, unchecking OCSP doesn't change anything and I still have the Avast notification. Moreover, on this notification, I don't have, like you, the option to "continue" (it's the paid version "Avast Internet Security").

Another note, I actually have a second PC with Orange ISP, Thunderbird email and the same antivirus, but a different email inbox and on this one, I have no problem receiving my messages and no Avast notifications. So indeed, it's hard to understand if the problem comes from Orange.

I sent a message to Avast support yesterday, but I'm still waiting....

You're quite right because unchecking OCSP doesn't change anything after a restart! I just did this on 2 machines and the message comes back.
However, both of my machines have exactly the same email addresses, etc., and I get the same message on both.
I'm not very familiar with how Avast works, so...
I think Orange needs to address the bug because they must be flooded with messages ??
See you!
