A good processor for AM3/AM3+?

Hello, I have a PC with a GTX 1060, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a motherboard with an AM3+ socket, and a FX-6300 processor (black edition). I have a dual screen setup and I notice that after certain alt tabs or some hasty actions, my Windows tends to freeze and some programs freeze/crash. I think it's due to my processor being way too weak compared to my graphics card. I would like to know if there are any very good AMD processors in AM3+/AM3 or if I need to change my motherboard for a Ryzen/Intel. Thanks in advance for your responses.

    Hello,

Overall, I never buy AMD because in terms of performance, it's not the best out there.

This one has 2 more cores and 0.5 GHz more:

At 4.3 GHz, we have this: https://www.amazon.fr/AMD-FD8370FRHKBOX-Processeur-c%C5%93urs-GHz/dp/B00MUTWELC/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1534264440&sr=8-6&keywords=processeur+AMD+AM3%2B

But I think your freezes come from something else.

Check the hard drive and the Windows system files before making what might be an unnecessary expense.
