Hello,
I have an HP EliteBook 850 G5 whose BIOS is locked and I’d like to unlock it, but I don’t know the BIOS password since I bought the machine second-hand.

Hello,
The BIOS password is an enhanced protection that manufacturers have strengthened in light of numerous abuses. They are notably found on business or government PCs or applied by authenticated owners, resold without the unlocking having been performed.
You will not find on CCM any procedure to bypass this protection for users that only authorized after-sales service centers (SAVs) approved by the brands can remove, upon presentation of an invoice.
