Boot Camp: my Mac displays a spinning planet

Hello,

First of all, I would like to let you know that I’m 15 years old, I got this MacBook Air 2017 running on Mac OS HIGH SIERRA a month ago, and I use it for school and studies.

However, some applications on Mac cannot be installed and used because they are made to run only on Windows, and I discovered that Apple offers a service and a program called "Boot Camp" to have a Windows system on Mac and to choose between the two at startup. I want to specify that this service is OFFERED by Apple, and I didn’t find this program or this tip on some weird or unreliable site.

So I have in order:
- installed the file to be able to install Windows 10 from the Microsoft site
- launched Boot Camp and started the download, which took about 10 minutes

But at the end of the 10 minutes, my computer froze and it got stuck; I waited another 10 minutes and ultimately nothing happened, so I restarted the computer by holding down the power button.

And the computer started up normally except that I could neither open certain applications nor access the internet, nor restart or turn it off.

So I went online to see how to reboot a Mac, and apparently, you have to restart it and hold down Cmd + R
That’s what I did, and I ended up in a menu. After that, I was planning to format my hard drive (I knew that I was going to lose my photos and data... but at that moment, I didn’t care; I just wanted my Mac to work again) and reinstall Mac OS X HIGH SIERRA. I formatted my hard drive, and at the moment of reinstalling OS X, my Wi-Fi bugged, and my computer displayed "installation impossible" or something like that, so I shut down my computer and went to sleep. When I got up, I tried to start it, and a forbidden sign showed up, and when I tried to do Cmd + R again, it displayed a spinning globe and my computer offered to connect to the internet, so I entered my Wi-Fi, but it refused it even though I entered the right password. Knowing that I am not at home and that I am using a 4G stick for Wi-Fi.

So I have 3 options left:
- either I wait to get home to connect my Mac via a wired internet connection
- or I have it repaired, which I want to avoid because it’s expensive.
- or apparently I read on a forum that I could reinstall Mac OS X HIGH SIERRA by connecting my Mac to another Mac, but I don’t know if that works...

I am really desperate and would appreciate any reliable advice if some knowledgeable people have any, thank you in advance, Adam.

Configuration: iPad / Safari 11.0

    Hello,

Here are some maintenance/repair tips try to apply some of them.
After booting from the recovery partition (holding down the command and R keys), and once the Utilities window is visible, you should have selected "reinstall Mac OS" instead of "erase."
