Hello,
I had downloaded the free version of TotalAV, then driven by their promotion, I switched to a paid version. Now, no matter how many times I download the app, it doesn’t work; I am constantly being asked to restart my computer to finalize the installation... but nothing works. I contacted their technical support, and after asking me to send them a screenshot of what’s going wrong, all they can do is offer me half-price options without providing any solution to my initial problem.
If anyone can recommend a reliable antivirus that isn’t a scam, I would appreciate it, thank you in advance.

I too got scammed by TotalAV.
It's impossible to cancel the automatic renewal that went from 23 euros to 121 euros without my consent. The only solution: change my Visa card. A real scam.

Hello, in May they charged me 118.60 and today 93.60.;

How can I get a refund?

I sent them an email and here is their response:

Hello, I was charged €118.80 without being notified by email, SMS, or phone. Moreover, they withdrew it directly from PAYPAL; I didn't understand that PAYPAL didn't even ask for my authorization for this transaction. If you file a complaint with 60 million consumers, let me know; it's better to file a complaint collectively to get things moving.
If anyone has figured out how to get a refund, it would be great to share that with others. Thank you in advance, best regards.

Google ads are promoting these links.

Contact them, try to get a refund.
Tell them that the law gives you 14 days to cancel
Threaten to file a complaint.

If you have Windows 10, Windows Defender is more than sufficient.

a real scam this product TotalAV to be banned especially don’t fall into the trap where they tell you it’s cheaper and at the time of purchase bam it’s more expensive with extensions that don’t work by the way... real crooks

Hi, I had the free version and after a while, my PC started to lag. So I contacted them and they said I needed a cheap extension, so I bought it, and today they just charged me 118.80 euros. It's a scam because they make your PC slow and then they give you an offer.

Total AV has charged me twice, once on my credit card and once on my PayPal account for a total amount of 245.6 euros, which is two times 142.6 euros... clearly a scam... when I ask for explanations in the site's chat, I feel like I'm talking to a robot whose only responses are to offer me new free services while I am requesting a refund and a cancellation of my subscription... upon reading your messages, I understand that this is a scam and that the only solution is to block my card?

Here are my antivirus, antimalware or whatever, which I use exclusively in their FREE version downloaded from the internet, and which have satisfied me so far (one finds what the other ignores, or sometimes both find the same thing):
adwcleaner_8.3.1.exe
Malwarebytes (mbam.exe)
Malware Hunter

and I add these utilities also used in their free versions:
CCleaner (which gathers a set of various utilities. It seems to work well)
and IObitUnlocker.exe (a unlocker for "things" that are blocked, unmovable icons, non-deletable, unmodifiable, etc., and other "frozen" programs: IObitUnlocker unlocks them right away, and it works!)

The answer to your two questions is in the response <1> above that you didn't read: an annual fee of €99 excluding tax, which is €99 x 1.20 = €118.80 including tax, and registration accompanied by automatic and paid renewal (of course in small print).

I only looked at Total antivirus once. And I quickly ran away, I don't remember exactly why, but I remember the deceptive hypocrisy of the site. A fool's trap!
Antivirus? I use AdwCleaner, Malwarebytes, and Malware Hunter. To this day, I am very satisfied with all three. I am rarely attacked, but when I am, what one does not find is discovered by the other. I recommend a full scan by Malware Hunter. A bit long, but effective!

Hello,
I too have just been scammed by TotalAV.
They automatically renewed my subscription without notifying me, so without my consent, and the price went from around €34 to €119.
When you try to contact them, you're never at the right email address.
How can we make ourselves heard?

Go to C, program files x86, find the yellow folder TotalAV, right-click then open and there you will see totalAV uninstall.
