Issue with Total AV antivirus. Solved

I had the same issue. Don't waste your time with TOTALAV support. Click on Start + Settings + Control Panel. Then, click on TOTALAV to uninstall it. You need to be patient and avoid clicking unnecessarily on prompts. Just let it go. Some operations can take around 10 minutes. We click. We wait... We follow the steps and eventually we will uninstall TOTALAV. After that, the computer will be back to its original state. I then installed PENDA. More user-friendly, lighter, and doesn't cause issues.

I have already uninstalled Total AV using CC Cleaner, but I wonder
if that was done correctly,
because I'm having trouble opening certain web pages, including those to re-download another antivirus.

Delighted by what I see online saying "the best antivirus TOTALAV is also free," I quickly download the installation .exe. Fortunately, AVAST sounds the alarm before even that file is downloaded!! It sends a message for having quarantined it. I then check online for reviews on TOTALAV (what I should have done from the start) and I discover the scam!! Thank you AVAST, and I only have a minimal, free version.
