Don't worry, it was coming from my computer
but I've changed it due to circumstances

it smelled burnt and shut down immediately
The power supply gave up the ghost because of the motherboard which
went bad
After 9 years and heavy usage maybe
that's what it is
or perhaps the high heat caused it, that's possible
I think, as a former Radio TV technician
that it’s due to the aging of the components
electrolytic capacitors, coupling caps, etc...
Anyway, there were too many expensive parts so I bought another one
a bit more powerful than this one
it has 4 gigabytes of RAM and now the Honestech works perfectly
screen and all
for the people I’ve seen a lot of comments on the site
complaining about having black & white tapes, don't forget
if they are tapes recorded in France to switch to
Secam on the Honestech and to Pal for tapes recorded in
Belgium, Germany, etc... anyway always choose the standard
