Hello,
I just bought a Logitech HD Pro C920 webcam, and after struggling to get the image under Windows 10 (it was difficult to install the drivers correctly), I realize that I have no sound.
However, everything seems to be working fine in the control panel.
The leads:
- My microphone works. When I go to "listen to this device" in the microphone settings, the microphone is detected, turns on, and echoes my voice back to me. However, as soon as I uncheck the box, the microphone level bar stops moving, and the microphone disappears from the "volume mixer" panel...
- In Skype, Skype tells me that it cannot connect to my sound card (note that with my old webcam, it worked perfectly)
I've tried a lot of things... uninstalling, manual reinstalling, restarting, changing USB ports... nothing worked (except that I sometimes lost my camera, and it was a hassle to get it back).
I'm stuck and could use some help to figure this out...
I forgot to mention... In the control panel "configure microphone," I get this error message: "Unable to start the wizard ... Please ensure that your audio hardware is working and check your audio configuration in the Sound and Audio Devices Control Panel."
This is a bit of a catch-22...
I even tried driverscloud to update everything, but nothing worked...
HELP!
