Hello,
I have had a Samsung R530 for a few years.
Its processor is a Pentium dual-core T4300.
The socket is a socket 479.
The full model reference of my PC is: NP-R530-JA02FR.
I wanted to know which more powerful processors I could use.
Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

You can still change the processor, but it's a bit complicated to do on a laptop (and possibly expensive).

If you want to boost your PC, use an SSD and possibly add some RAM. An SSD is 5 times faster than a mechanical hard drive, which is enough to bring real comfort in usage.

That said, the difficulty lies in the fact that you will either need to clone the old hard drive to the SSD or reinstall all the programs (including Windows).

I already have an SSD and the RAM will also be increased, but I wanted to use a more powerful processor. I have already opened my PC, so I know how to change it. My problem is compatibility; on some sites, they tell me that the socket is good, but that certain processors won't work anyway.
Basically, I would like to know which more powerful processor is 100% compatible with my PC.

      Hello

The CPU is not soldered, you can indeed change it without any problem.

A Core 2 Duo T8300, which you can find on eBay for around ten euros, will work on your Samsung.

The gain isn't huge, but it's already something.

      Best regards

    Hello
I'm bringing up the topic about having the same phone. I thought the RAM was maxed out at 4GB???
Do you have any photos of your CPU upgrade or a link for disassembly?
    Thanks for your response.
