Autocad and PDF printing issues

Hello,

I have an issue with my AutoCAD, it’s a 2018 "LT" version.
When I print directly from my AutoCAD, everything displays and prints correctly.
However, if I create a PDF and then print from the PDF, some information disappears (lines, bits of hatching...) which is problematic!
I think the problem comes from my computer or from my AutoCAD, because if someone creates a PDF from my drawing but on another computer, then there’s no issue.

Does anyone have a solution to propose? Because right now, to fix the problem, I’m overlapping several lines or I have to “explode” the blocks and hatches, but it’s quite random; sometimes it works but other times it doesn’t... and it’s costing me a huge amount of time in my work...

PS: The IT technician at my company has done all the possible updates (AutoCAD, printer, computer...) and he has no idea where the problem is coming from either...

HELP ME!

Hello,
I had this kind of problem a few years ago on PC where PDF creation is sometimes random with certain applications (no issues since I've been on Mac:)).
What tool do you use to make your PDF?

I tried several methods:
- The one I use the most: Export > PDF
- or: Plot > DWG to PDF
- or, but the output quality is lower: Plot > PDFcreator (with this method I have no printing issues, it prints just as "bad" as if I printed directly from AutoCAD without going through a PDF, but the quality is not suitable at all for the renders I need to do!

(thank you for your help :3 )

Handling the PDF directly in AutoCAD (your first two solutions) often yields poor results. I also remember using PDF Creator, which has the advantage of creating fairly lightweight PDFs. I recommend you continue with this app if you don't have any issues, and regarding quality, you just need to manually adjust the compression rate for a better quality output. Otherwise, you can test with another PostScript printer: Acrobat Pro works very well but comes at a cost; however, you should have other free options available.

The other solution would be to isolate the problematic elements in your file and find a way to convert them to PDF without issues. For example, avoid grouping problematic elements or putting them into blocks; changing the scale of a hatch might also be a solution. However, this approach will be time-consuming and may alter the appearance of your output.
