Hello,
I’ve been having a problem with my PC for a few days: a Sticky Keys window keeps appearing, and I can't remove it most of the time even if I uncheck this option. A beeping sound is heard (most often when turning the computer on and off), and after a while, my keyboard keys act weirdly: sometimes uppercase, sometimes lowercase, and some keys don't work at all... Moreover, my computer has become much slower, and when I’m online, it opens a new page every time I click on a link...
I’ve run several antivirus programs: Bit Defender, Kaspersky, AVG, AVAST, Norton, and nothing comes up for them. Only AVG mentions 3 files in the system32 folder (it says "change" but doesn't find any viruses and doesn’t say anything else)
I can’t find a solution, and if someone could help me, it would be great before I throw it out the window!
Thanks

Hello.
I had a similar problem two years ago and I discovered that one of the "shift" keys was stuck, which probably caused an unintended command.
Try to check if you might have an issue on that side.
Best wishes.

Hello everyone !!
I had exactly the same problem, tried everything antivirus etc....
So I went for Sylvie's solution, I completely took apart the keyboard and cleaned it all (since apparently no key seemed stuck).
Result it works !!!!!
Thank you Sylvie -
Hello Fannymg
before anything else, just a quick question, does your keyboard and computer usually work well? -
Yes, generally everything is fine. I tried connecting an external keyboard and mouse (it's a laptop, I forgot to mention) to see if it changed anything! But nothing, the laptop continues its craziness!
Do you have any idea what might be happening?
Thanks -
I really need help understanding. I just formatted my computer and I still have the same problems: the left shift key and the alt gr key don't work, and it selects multiple items when I click on just one! What's happening here???????? Even though I say again, I tested with an external keyboard and mouse... it didn't change anything, still the problem!
What can I do?
Thank you for your answers

Hello Fanny,
sorry for replying so late but the weekend got in the way.
I've thought about your problem but I can't come up with any solution.
I don't understand why this happens even after formatting the PC. My only explanation would be a hardware issue and there's nothing we can do about that. You'd need to have it repaired.
Could you still give me the configuration of your PC? Which OS are you using? -
MY SYSTEM IS WINDOWS XP.
IT'S GETTING WORSE NOW I HAVE A DEBUGGER THAT STARTS UP I CAN'T OPEN INTERNET PAGES ANYMORE. APPARENTLY THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH I EXPLORER. -
Are you sure you don't have a virus or Trojan?
Could someone take control of your PC? -
Regarding the virus, I don’t think I have one, I tested at least 6 antivirus programs. As for the rest, I don’t know how I can find out?
Thank you. -
I have the same problem. It's neither a virus nor a trojan (it's easy to see how we refer to mysterious causes as soon as we have a problem). No, it comes from the sticky keys... to partially fix your problem, turn off the forced capitalization (caps lock).

Hello
I sincerely believe that it's a virus. I had the same problem three weeks ago. Complete reinstallation of the computer was very difficult, but in the end, the computer is back to its original state and it's working very well.
Just yesterday, a few days after reinstalling my external hard drive, the same problem occurred. If it were a hardware issue, we wouldn't all have the same problem, considering that I'm on Vista, meaning there's an issue on both XP and Vista.
How can I find this virus ???????

Hello,
I have the same problem too, I really don't understand what's happening, the Sticky Keys window opens at any time and then everything locks up completely, the keys are glitching, internet windows open with every click... I've tried everything, complete formatting, starting in safe mode, msconfig + disabling windows at startup... I really don't see any way out
