No, no risks
Here’s the process:
1.Open Explorer.
2.Press the [Alt] key to display the menu.
3.Click on Tools and then Folder Options.
4.Select the View tab.
5.Check Always display icons, never thumbnails.
6.Confirm using the OK button

first of all, thank you for your super quick response.
It was when I did a cleanup with CCleaner that I noticed I had this kind of file. I have to admit I'm just a beginner in computing
so I deleted that infamous thumbnails file with CCleaner. However, I don't know if it was completely erased!! If I see it reappear, I'll use your method, which is definitely more radical. Anyway, thanks again for your help, and I wish you an excellent day. See you soon.
