Hello,

This evening, I've noticed that the "commercial" folder has disappeared from the list of my folders in my Free email account. While browsing the web, I saw that it might have turned into a subfolder. Indeed, I found it as a subfolder of the trash. I moved it back to the root of my Free account, but I have no messages displayed.
I checked on Windows Live Mail (which I use as a backup...), and there I found the messages that were on Thunderbird.
My question: will the messages in "commercial" come back?
I am using IMAP.
Thank you

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 66.0.3359.181

    Hello,

No, your messages won't come back by themselves!
I recommend that you create your "Commercial" folder in "Local Folders" instead.
If I'm not being too nosy: What does your 'Commercial' folder contain?

    Hello,
I'll start with the most recent.
When I opened TB, I found about fifteen messages in my inbox (incoming mail), which usually were in "commercial."
As almost always, almost all of these messages ended up in the spam folder.
In other words, it's my "incoming mail" that played the role of "commercial."
No, you're not being nosy: in "commercial," there's... commercial stuff: promotions I don't care about, supposed gifts, huge winnings, etc. Occasionally there are scientific articles that are more or less interesting.
So, I think I'll wait for more messages to come and confirm whether or not they end up in "incoming mail."
Is your suggestion to create another "commercial" folder at the bottom in Local Folders? I can always give it a try.
    I'm attaching a partial screenshot.
    See you later!

Here is another example of messages in the junk folder that come from "incoming mail" instead of "commercial".

    Hi,

So if I understood correctly: you want to keep all those ads that end up in "Spam" and have them show up in "Commercial," right!?

For me, Junk E-mail is the same as "Spam": that folder is useless to you!

    Keep it simple

    Thank you for your response.
No, no, I do not "want" my ads, etc. to go to "Commercial," I was just surprised that a folder disappeared.
Now, all my emails on Free go to "Inbox." The spam, when recognized as such, goes to "Spam."
As you can see, I keep it simple.
If it no longer serves me, I could delete "Commercial"; but it's there, quiet, and I will leave it in its corner.
I noticed that you installed all your emails in "Local Folders." Is there a specific reason for that? And also, I don't see a "Commercial" folder.
    Talk to you later!
