Restore the missing recycle bin

Hello,
I can no longer delete my messages due to the recent disappearance of the recycle bin.
Please let me know how to restore it/.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 39.0

      Thank you for replying so quickly.
      I followed the instructions point by point. At my place it’s POP orange.fr and not IMAP. The Trash files are not in POP but in Local Folders. I was able to delete them.
      I then created a new folder named Trash but there I’m stuck. I can't confirm because I can't find where to click on CREATE A FOLDER. I've looked everywhere but nothing. The trash still hasn't come back!! Thank you for telling me more.

    The simplest thing is to save your messages, start a repair with a new installation file from the Mozilla website,

    if the problem persists, uninstall Mozilla and reinstall it!
