Contact messenger en mode 'invisible'

Good evening,
I have a contact on messenger who is probably connecting invisibly, since he is the only one for whom I don't see 'active X minutes ago'. How is it possible not to have the notice with the minutes of inactivity? Is he doing it on purpose not to appear online or to hide when he was last online? Because he says he hasn't done anything; but I feel like he's lying...

    Before that, do you see it active with or without a green dot?
    Since Monday, it's only affecting people who have removed the green dot.
    Before, it even affected those with a green dot.
    Either a bug or an update. But personally, it started for me on Wednesday. Update on Thursday. It only affected the contacts without a green dot since yesterday. Even though I just updated it right now.

      Thank you very much, Lola. It's since he bought the new phone that it hasn't been working anymore. Before, I could see him active or at least it showed the last connection. So I have to reinstall Messenger, do you think?

      I've tried this a thousand times. It doesn't work.
      But since when does he have his new phone? He was active with a green dot before, right?

      Just to tell you, I've been following the story since Wednesday evening. At first, it concerned someone who had removed the green dot months ago. Then other friends.
      Now it only affects those who didn't have a green dot to begin with.
      And still. There's one that I see as "active" when he puts the green dot on. And when he removes it, it shows active 19 hours ago. Even though he just replied to me. And the others, if they remove it, I see them as active. And when they put it back, I see nothing at all.

      So we either have to wait. Or come to terms with the fact that we can't see anything anymore...

      You see, I had 3 close friends or so, and since 1 o'clock I haven't seen them. I asked if they had done something. They swore they hadn't. It came back up while talking to them. And as soon as the conversation ended, 10 minutes later, bam, I see nothing anymore.

      It's strange; so this is what I don't understand.. Normally you should see after *active 10 min ago.. or 20 min ago.. Well, for him; like in your case; I don't see that at all..

      Yes, and some people on other sites said that it was the people who removed the green dot. Indeed, at first, I saw that too. But those people swore they did nothing. And indeed, as the discussion went on, I saw it again. And even in the cases where I didn’t ask for anything, I saw the same return of the active status. But then once we stop talking, it disappears. And for some, it comes back. And then it disappears again...

      Anyway, it's probably a huge bug. That has been going on for me for a week now... annoying. The most important of my contacts...
