Pin code for messenger?

A discussion started a few days ago and now Messenger is asking me for a PIN code to restore! I don’t remember such a code and obviously didn’t note it. How can I recover the discussion? Thanks

    It seems to me that this is for retrieving old messages. Since you mention recent discussion, you should not miss the old messages.
