How to remove "Active x minutes ago" on Facebook?

Hello,

Well, for a while now Facebook has had the BRILLIANT idea of adding an "active x minutes ago" to our discussions. And even though you log out everywhere (Web, Facebook, Messenger), this still shows up for my friends (verified on my girlfriend's phone), which is very annoying because you don’t always have time to respond to messages instantly. So my question is this, Is there a way to remove the "Active" status and really go incognito on Facebook?

I found the solution:
uninstall or disable Facebook and Messenger on the mobile phone.
on the PC, disable the instant messaging on your Facebook.
log in to Facebook via the mobile browser, then click on the last tab to the right of the magnifying glass, scroll all the way down. There is an option to see the desktop version: click on that.
Now you are on the desktop version of Facebook on your mobile. Add this page to your home screen to have it as an icon on your desktop...

Of course, it’s less pleasant to view Facebook’s desktop version on your mobile, but you can check with another account: it will not show you as active: at the moment, but active x minutes ago (since your last login to Facebook for mobile)... Problem solved :-)

Well yes, that makes sense... since you are on the online version... (even the mobile version from the internet works too)

But not with the app.

The only way to go incognito is to not have Facebook. Ever.

( Seriously, if you can't find it in the settings, it means it's not possible; Facebook and the like are purely and simply an invasion of privacy, you consent to it by using it, you can't choose what will be disclosed.. Sorry. )

Thank you for your response. I've already thought about closing my account, but I have people who are very far away for whom Facebook is the only way (less expensive) to contact them... ;)

I understand, but in that case maybe Skype or emails would be the least invasive.. ?
Just for the fact that you can never really leave Facebook (You can deactivate it but not delete it) I find that creepy! But whatever, I'm not here to judge :)

But I understand its interest of course, let’s just say you have no choice, you take the positive and negative points, even if the negatives are very negative lol

You should always log in on a PC and delete the Facebook app and Messenger from your phone; then delete active sessions (account settings > security > active sessions/where you are logged in). In this way, the little phone symbol (that appears next to your name) disappears and your last Facebook login shows the minute you deleted the app from your phone (if you check via your girlfriend's account). Otherwise, I don't see any other solutions!

Impossible to escape this.... I've tried everything....
I only log into my professional Facebook account on my mobile and my personal account on my computer.

I've deleted the active sessions of my personal account, etc....

I'm Facebook friends between my professional account and my personal account.

So to not appear online, you either have to deactivate your account, but then you no longer exist temporarily on Facebook, or you simply don't go on your account...

In any case, one of Facebook's principles is to be "connected" to your friends to exchange. So it's impossible to remove this option... it was better in the early days of Facebook when this little icon didn’t exist.... once you've installed Facebook on your smartphone, it's over!

As a result, it has happened to me that people message me even though I was OFFLINE..... because they saw me "online for 1 min."

If your account is linked to your phone, you appear as continuously online.
That's normal.
