Hello,
I have a Messenger contact who I'm not friends with on Facebook, and I can no longer see them marked as active or active x minutes ago.
It started yesterday evening. It came back once, but since then nothing.
My other contacts who are friends or just connected on Messenger are working normally...
Could they have paid for an app that allows them to remove that? Or could an update allow it?
Still, they read my last message. But nothing... no active or online status...
Thanks to those who will respond
Configuration: Android / SamsungBrowser 7.0

Hello Lola
I've had the same problem as you for a few days now.
So far on the Facebook app for computer and also on the Messenger mobile app, I could see my contact's status, meaning either "active" when they were online or "active x time ago" when they were disconnected.
But now, while I can still see if they are online, the mention "active x time ago" no longer appears after they disconnect (or only for a very short time, just a few minutes).
I want to clarify that my contact uses their Facebook/Messenger computer app to communicate, so I wonder if they don't activate the "offline" feature on the Messenger computer app after each conversation to remove the mention "active ... ago".
Can someone confirm this or help us?
Thank you for your tips.
