Hello everyone,
I need help with my Packard Bell computer.
The battery light is flashing orange when I leave it on battery, even though the battery is not below 10 percent.
The computer works fine, and when I charge it, the light turns blue as it should.
I've also noticed that it is a bit slower to start up and there was a black screen on startup for a brief moment.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Hello
it needs to be checked of course
but I think it's related to the eco software
the battery is "plugged but not charging" during normal use so the orange light indicates that the battery is discharging, which is normal during use
but it charges well (blue light) when the charge level reaches the set threshold or falls below that threshold
what’s curious is that if the charge is full, the light should be green and not orange
this may indicate a already worn battery where one cell is dead
in that case, the 100% charge is calculated on the intact cell (or remaining cells) and no longer on the entire battery...
basically, it will still hold for a while, no panic, but it smells like the end. -
re
so I don’t know;
maybe an issue with the connectors at the battery housing
sometimes this also happens during a system upgrade -> for example a PC originally running W7 or 8 to W10
in this case, it’s possible that the battery indicators or its management in general are affected -
re
personally, I don't know
