Hello,
I customized the "20th Century Fox" introductory video using Blender.
But when I open it with VLC or another player, there is a black bar on the left, right, top, and bottom.
Even though when I made the modifications, I set the dimensions to 1280 x 960 px.
Anyway, I want my video to be fullscreen without black bars.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 59.0

I don't know, I haven't tried, but when I'm in Blender and I request "the render" for 1280 x 960, there are only bands at the top and bottom, not on the sides.

Hello, I remind you that for a resolution of 1280 the height is 720 and your television, regardless of its native resolution, will display in full screen with an aspect ratio of 1.77
in 1920x1080 an aspect ratio also of 1.77 which corresponds to a full screen 16/9
in 1280x960 the ratio is 1.33
compared to 4/3 720x576 1.25
and the 1280x720 we find the ratio for 16/9 televisions 1.77
so it is normal that by choosing your resolution 1280x960 you have black bars

Hello,
I remade my video in 1920 x 1080 format so it is full screen without any black bars when I play it with VLC, but it stutters with Windows Media Player; however, it works well even in full screen.
I have another issue: when I try to assemble it with Movie Maker, the black bars are present even in full screen.

Hello, if your video is created in 1920x1080, I say created not modified in the WMM software, it shouldn't have horizontal side bars, that's normal. You didn't choose '16/9' in "project" proportions or else I'll have to put the gloves back on.

So, to summarize, I downloaded a (.blend) file that I opened with Blender, I modified the original text, then I set the dimensions you indicated, namely 1920 x 1080, and then I started the animation which lasted over 16 hours. Once completed, an .avi file was created. I opened this file with Windows Media Player and it was in full screen. I opened it with WMM in full screen and there were bands on each side. I tried to save my project as a movie and then open it with Windows Media Player, but there are still bands.

Hello, so there are bands on each side, I no longer have a rabbit to pull out of my hat!
Unless we assume that your template downloaded from YouTube is not in 16:9
If you had a less basic software, you could crop it with a little stretch
PS: unrelated, if you work with Blender, it's better to use h264 or mpeg format
