Hello,
I have read the previous posts on this topic, but none have answered my question.
I want to move the applications from two phones (Samsung J3 and Samsung S7 Edge) to their respective SD cards, but I do not have the option. The app managers on these two phones look different, but neither allows moving the applications (only a few can be moved, but not the majority). For example, Facebook can only be stored on the internal memory of the devices, like most applications.
Is the only solution to root the phones? Is there no simpler option? I remember being able to move Facebook to the SD card a few months ago, but now it's impossible.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Configuration: Windows / Edge 16.16299

To move an application to the SD card, see here how to do it: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-37622026-android-utiliser-une-micro-sd-comme-stockage-interne
In order to move an application to the SD card, it is necessary that the developer of the application has planned for it, but often this is not the case.
In this case, there are other ways to free up available space on internal memory. How to get more internal memory available on our Android smartphones and tablets?
With 4 GB, 8 GB, and even 16 GB, 32 GB, we quickly run out of space. The memory is saturated, making it impossible to install anything.
So I propose this solution:
Here are possible examples:
Depending on manufacturers and the Android version, the list of default applications varies greatly; I do not have all manufacturers... just stick to the instructions in 6. Ask me in the comments if you have doubts.
After that, head to the Google Play Store and install the application(s) you want. As soon as you can no longer install new applications, simply clear the cache and reset some applications because over time data accumulates.
What does this application allow?
This application also allows transferring applications to a microSD card, but many are not transferable!!! Moreover, for my smartphone, the applications transferred to the microSD disappear from the home screen... Always having to look for them in the full list of applications... I was counting on this when buying my smartphone with 8 GB of memory... So, it's difficult to place the applications elsewhere than on the internal memory of the smartphone... However, a microSD card is essential to store if you have many files: images, photographs, music, videos, etc.

So I propose this solution:
- 1. Open Google Play Store
- 2. Install AppMgr III; created by Sam Lu (uninstall anything necessary to have it).
- 3. Open the application
- 4. Go directly to "manage apps" found in the menu (represented by 3 horizontal lines). [On Android, the application menus are generally located at the top left of the screen. For AppMgr III and the Android version of the device used for the demonstration, this is the case].
- 5. All the applications are listed. If AD is written at the bottom, it means advertisements. Like many applications, they can be removed by paying (I have nothing as I paid). Now clean the cache (we're getting the broom out). The broom icon is located at the top right of the screen.
- 6. Before reading step 7: BE CAREFUL to NEVER DELETE:
- The Android system. For ARCHOS (the manufacturer of the demonstration smartphone) its name is: Android System#. For Samsung its name is: Samsung#
- Your keyboard (board* or keyboard*) [I recommend Gboard; it's the best keyboard I've found, install it if it's not the keyboard your manufacturer chose to put on, and then you'll be sure to have a good one]
- Google Play Store#
- Google Play Services#
- The Launcher (often integrated with Google or the manufacturer's applications) => remembers the placement of applications on the home screen pages. So not too serious. If the launcher is reset, you will have to rearrange it to your liking. It’s difficult to locate... Rarely independent. [I to avoid hassle to reset Google and gain even more space, I installed an independent launcher (Evie Launcher is mine, but there are several)]
- On some Android devices, there are "management" applications specific to your manufacturer’s brand "application system" "update manager" (this is the case in the demonstration). I do not see other things that you might find on other devices that are essential to run it. Ask me in the comments if you have doubts.
- 7. Choose applications to uninstall, especially those that were already present at the start because they cannot be uninstalled without AppMgr III. To uninstall them, simply point to the icons. In fact, they will not really disappear (it's impossible), but AppMgr III resets them to factory settings (reset to 0). That means putting them back to how they were at purchase: the minimum possible size. You can't even imagine how we will be able to optimize the memory! On some devices of my acquaintances, I succeeded in freeing 3 GB!
Here are possible examples:
- Calendar#
- Chrome# Google# Maps# and YouTube# (4 useful applications, but in my opinion, it’s important to clear their data from time to time: just remember to jot down your favorite web addresses to restore them). They take up a lot of space if nothing is done.
- News and Weather#
- Drive#
- Gmail#
- Hangouts#
- Photos#
- Zinio#
- Google Play Music#
- Google Play Movies and Series#
- Google Play Games# (if you don’t play => loss of progress in games using Google Play Games backup)
- Google Play Kiosk#
- Google Play Books#
- Google+#
- Google Cloud Print#
- Google Pinyin Input#
- Google Input Method#
- Translate#
- Exchange Services#
- Text-to-Speech#
- Google Now Launcher#
- TalkBack#
- Keep#
- InMobi Services#
- Sheets#
- Doc#
- Archos Video#
- Samsung Link#
- Messages#
- e-Mail#
- All applications with the word "Plug-In"
- All applications with the word "Push"

Audrey, Samsung does not allow the relocation of apps, at best part of the data and this regardless of your Android version, including version 7 AND INCLUDING WITH THIS APP AppMgr III.. unless you root it, which is not your case. I'm going to give you the real reason according to Samsung and others: microSD cards are not fast enough for them, and then you have developers who, for the most part, block these relocations except for certain application data... so either you have the skills and the desire and you have specialized forums to root your Samsung and install custom ROMs, which of course will no longer have all the Samsung overlay and environment...
Come on, do the favor of taking a 10 GB file and moving it to your internal memory and see how long it takes, then do the same to your microSD and you’ll see the huge difference in time. And don’t make me say what I’m not saying. There are brands that allow it and others that don’t.
