Press any key to keep it on

Good evening,
As you may have gathered from this brief title, my Acer laptop has a slight problem..
To summarize the situation, I spilled a few drops of water on the machine a few days ago while it was working perfectly. Unfortunately, it stopped functioning (rather suspiciously, as this was clearly not the first time it had happened and I had never experienced any issues before) and wouldn't turn back on.
This morning, I tried turning on the laptop again and realized that the loading screen came up, but then the laptop would shut off after a few seconds with a small "click" (the same sound as when it is turned off 'forcefully'). Instinctively, I tried to turn it on while pressing the keys on the keyboard at the same time..
And it worked! In fact, the laptop runs fine as long as I keep pressing a key, otherwise it shuts off. I tried using tape, but it's not reliable or practical...

So I'm asking for your help, or at least an explanation. Thank you in advance to those who will respond..

    Hello,

if your PC is shutting down, it's because it has a protection system to prevent any hardware issues.
which part of your PC did the drops fall on?
