Hello,
I'm trying to recover photos (accidentally overwritten) from my Samsung J7 using RECUVA on my PC (running Windows 10).
The photos were on the phone's internal memory (no SD card).
BUT I can't get the phone to show up as a USB mass storage device (with a drive letter); it's always identified as "Samsung J7," so Recuva can't find it...
I have already:
- enabled "USB debugging" in "developer options";
- tried all the USB modes available on the phone;
- tried a different cable;
- tried another computer;
- ...
Help! Does anyone have any other ideas?... Thank you.

I enabled USB debugging (as advised by many internet sources) because before I did, it didn't show up as storage... Anyway, with or without it, it's not working...
With debugging disabled, when you connect the phone to the PC, it should ask you what you want to do
Sometimes it's hidden, and you need to pull down the view by swiping your finger from the top to the bottom of the phone
