Hello,
I tried to turn on my 2013 iMac this morning, but every time I try, it shuts down halfway through the loading screen with the Apple logo.
I attempted to repair the startup disk with the ALT key, but it didn’t work... I don’t know what else to do.
That’s 5 years of my life on this computer, I really don’t want to restore it to factory settings!! Please help me!

Hello,
Try resetting the management unit:
https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT201295
And if needed, a repair after booting from the recovery partition:

If it really turns out to be impossible to repair the system, but recovering the content of the Mac is vital, it is important to know that there are solutions to try, even if, for example, the Mac suffers from a major failure, but its internal hard drive is still okay.
You can consider recovering the internal hard drive, then putting it in a USB enclosure connected to another Mac, or connecting this Mac to another Mac in target mode.
You can also install OS X on an external drive, boot the Mac from this external drive, and then recover as much as possible from the internal drive.
These different solutions are always possible as long as the internal drive of the Mac is not out of service.
So, you should keep hope as long as you consider the internal drive of this Mac to be in good condition. Even if eventually, you will have to use a friend’s Mac or something else...
Best regards.

Always provide your complete system configuration - exact model of the computer, exact OS version.

Unfortunately, at the moment, nothing seems to be working. The repair via the disk utility doesn't work, an error always occurs after about 20-30 seconds after startup. I also note with surprise that the internal disk appears to be full, even though there should still be at least 50GB free.
Thinking back, it is possible that this failure is due to a power outage at my place last night (surge from appliances). The iMac's power supply was supposed to be protected with a special outlet... and for several hours afterwards, it still ran normally...
I can't try the methods with external hard drives for now (but I have the unpleasant feeling that my data will indeed be lost)
I'll keep you updated...
