Hello everyone,
I am (the happy?) owner of a BENQ W1500 projector.
It was working fine until, after two years and 350 hours on the lamp, a problem occurred.
The first time, when I turned it on, the LAMP light started blinking for about a minute, then the lamp eventually lit up.
But since then, nothing. I turn on the projector, the fans start up normally, then, at the moment when the lamp is supposed to light up and the image appears, the LAMP light starts blinking red.
I changed the bulb (50 bucks down the drain) but the problem remains the same. And now I'm out of solutions.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Julien

Hello, often just dusting off the projector and checking the fan blades is enough to get it going again.
You changed the lamp for €50 ???? That’s not an original lamp! 350 hours for a lamp is very little; that's strange.
An original lamp costs €214.

Thank you for your response. I just tried that, but it didn't work.
My lamp doesn't look like the one found at your link. It looks like this one: https://www.amazon.fr/CTLAMP-5J-J9E05-001-rechange-bo%C3%AEtier-Projecteurs/dp/B06XQ244SC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1514409438&sr=8-1&keywords=benq+w1500+lampe -
