Word Save/Recording Problem

The file path can no longer be interpreted by Word (for some reason X), the simplest thing would be to re-save your Word document where you want. Then close it, open it again, modify the document and try saving it. Normally, you should no longer get an error message.

Actually my file is saved in my documents and I opened it from there...
As for what pbertout says, I did it: I chose "Save as", I got the same message...
Moreover, I shut down my computer and turned it back on to see if anything would change and there, horror upon reboot, the work I had checked earlier in the afternoon as being saved (namely 6 pages) had disappeared!!!
I am at my wits' end because I absolutely need to work on this document...

Have you installed a new program since you got this error message?

I have exactly the same problem. I’ve been filling a Word file with photos for hours for a thesis to be submitted. I place these photos with the "wrap" option to position them anywhere on the page (that might matter).
At first I saved the file several times (just in case) and everything worked fine, but once I finished my 29 pages, I can’t save it.
I get this message: "the network or the path you are trying to save this document to is unavailable. What do you want to do?" and with every save there’s a little loading delay.

Strangely, saving as a PDF works. But saving in .rtf .docx .doc format is impossible.
I also tried saving to a USB drive, it took a long time to load and then it said the destination did not exist.

I’m going to put my computer to sleep, waiting for your responses. I don’t want to lose all these hours of work and have to start over.
