My documents no longer open with pdf

Hello,
For several months now, when I try to download a document from the Pôle Emploi or CAF website, for example, it no longer automatically opens with Adobe Acrobat Reader. I have to select the Adobe Acrobat PDF software multiple times from the list.
And the box "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" is grayed out.
Can you help me?

P.S.: I tried on my mom's PC, and there is no opening issue. So it must be a setting on my PC.
