Icons move around Solved

Question

Hello,Since I switched to Windows 10, all the icons placed on my desktop, according to my choice, end up on the left without my intervention. No matter how much I change their position, it doesn't stay that way indefinitely.And if that were the only issue...I'll be back with more questionsConfiguration: Windows / Chrome 61.0.3163.100

First, follow the instructions below, and let me know if you have the same registry keys and their corresponding values (0 or 1).  > right-click on Start.  > choose Run  > type Regedit and press OK   > you arrive in the registry. Follow this path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer  Let me know if you have the same keys as in the image. Give their values 0 or 1. Hi, try this manipulation. First thing, right-click on the desktop --> personalize ---> Themes ----> Desktop icon settings ----> then uncheck the box for Allow themes to change desktop icons  follow the picture

No, I meant that if you try to send an image alone, without writing a single word, you get the error "the body of the message is empty."  image alone = error  a small note like "here's the image" + the image = it goes through.  But you no longer need your image, just do what's below and your issue with moving icons should be resolved.  ----------------------  Otherwise for your issue:  Be careful as we are dealing with the registry, so no mistakes on the name of the value to create.  Go back to the same key > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer  Right-click in the right window New/DWORD Value, name it NoSaveSettings  Assign it the value 1 by double-clicking on it.( change the 0 to 1 )  In the end, you should have this   And let me know if your icons are still moving or not on startup. I had this problem with the icons changing places (it happened to me, I think, after an automatic update) all grouped at the top left of the screen and mixed up. I spent fifteen minutes putting them back in place. I read in a forum to download the FREE software "IcoSauve", which I did with an icon on the desktop. After installation, you save in this software the desktop you want to keep, you also check the "automatic restoration" function and the problem is solved. Since then, I have had no issues. It's simple, free, and apparently effective.

Hi,  Otherwise, you just need to disable the automatic rearranging of desktop icons:  By right-clicking on an empty area of the desktop, then clicking on “View” in the context menu, then unchecking “Auto-arrange icons” by clicking on it.
