Unable to send a private message on Insta. What to do?

Hello,
I have a problem with Instagram, I can no longer send private messages to people I have never messaged before, it shows me the red exclamation point in the circle. When I try to resend it, it doesn't work either.

What should I do?

Without a doubt, it’s a connection issue or the user has blocked you or has been blocked:
  • Make sure you are connected to the internet,
  • That the app is updated,
  • And that the user is not blocked or has blocked you. Block them and then unblock them to ensure this.
  • Make sure not to send too many private messages, as Instagram will limit you. Wait a few hours and then try again.

No, I haven't been blocked; I also tried using 4G instead of Wi-Fi, nothing works. :/

I think the app is updated; I installed it recently.

You need to check that it's up to date on the App Store or Play Store by typing "Instagram" in the search bar, going there, and seeing if the "Update" button appears (or something similar).
