New and full cartridge recognized as empty (EPSON XP-225)

Solved

Hello,

I have an Epson XP-225 printer. My cartridges are full; I just changed them because my printer recognized them as almost empty... First, when changing the cartridges, I noticed there was still plenty of ink inside, and then after putting in the new ones, I turned the printer on and off 3 or 4 times without printing, and now it says there’s 37% left of the black and 86% of the colors.

Do you have a solution? If not, which printer should I buy to avoid this problem in the future?

Thanks in advance.

Well, here's something to try otherwise:

1. turn off your printer
2. simultaneously press the black & white copy, color copy, and stop (or ok depending on the model) buttons and hold them down
3. turn on your printer (while still holding the buttons from step 2), do not release until the light on your printer is blinking, a message will then appear on the LCD screen
4. release all buttons
5. press the color copy button once
6. turn off the printer
7. turn it back on

or this
to reset it, simply press the "power" + "maintenance" (ink droplet and paper sheet drawn on the button) + "stop" (red button) buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds while the printer is powered on. A printer reset message will appear, it will turn off, and you're saved!

otherwise uninstall the printer driver and reinstall it, there must be a calibration issue

If that still doesn't work, I give up.

I didn't succeed but thank you anyway for your explanations. Best of luck moving forward.
