Hello everyone,
I am currently reinstalling a PC in a school, and I have a question.
In this school, there is a photocopier in an office connected to the school's network, of course. The person I'm doing this for would like to be able to print from their new PC and have those prints go to the photocopier in question. Hence my question, how should I go about installing the photocopier on the PC?
Thank you in advance

As with installing a printer, you need to install the photocopier driver on the new workstation...
The easiest way is to let Windows search for the printer on the network (it needs to be on, of course, and ideally not in sleep mode)...
Then it depends on the configuration. The simplest scenario is that the copier has a fixed address on the network.
If you know the IP address of the printer, in the printer properties you add a port by specifying that address, and it should work.

I didn't think that the installation was similar to a printer... In that case, thank you, I will test it once I finish installing everything.
Sometimes there are a few more complex cases where the copier has a RIP that wants to take care of everything.. in this case, the RIP generates a (or several) specific port, but you still have to find them in the list of available ports in the printer properties.
The issue has been ongoing for a while now, in fact, the printer was correctly installed from the start, but a password was needed to unlock the device, and this had to be entered on the copier's screen, which is impossible from a PC...
Thank you
