Hello, I need help please,
Yesterday I tried to charge my iPhone 6 which had almost no battery left in vain, the charging wouldn’t take. I tried 2 different Apple-certified chargers but nothing worked, so it’s not the charger. The battery is now completely dead and when I plug it in, the screen displays the empty battery logo, but when I unplug it, it shows the empty battery logo with the charger and the lightning bolt underneath. The iPhone detects the charger but doesn’t charge, and I left it plugged in all night.
I plugged it into a wall outlet, to my computer via USB, and I tried with a portable external battery but still the same result.
It’s not dust, I already cleaned it with a needle, and when I press the home and power buttons it doesn’t work anymore: I tried several times, the iPhone would reboot displaying the Apple logo then would turn off, but now when I press these 2 buttons it just shows me the empty battery logo again.
I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t know what to do, I plan to call the Apple store but the repair must be expensive and I can’t afford it. Please help me, I need to get my phone back as soon as possible. THANK YOU

Hello,

Please remove any potential dirt from the charging port located at the bottom of the device (for example, using a small paperclip), as it's not uncommon for dust to accumulate there.

If that still doesn't work:
  • Restart your iPhone.

If that still doesn't work:
  • Try using a different charger and/or USB cable, as the issue may be with one of those.

If that still doesn't work:
  • Make sure you have installed the latest version of iOS.
