IPhone stuck on battery logo

Hello,
My iPhone 5C (refurbished) turned off because it ran out of battery. I plugged it in. It's been stuck on the battery logo for 2.5 hours now. I've already tried resetting it by holding down both buttons. I've also tried connecting it to iTunes. But nothing works!
Have you ever had this problem?
Do you have any ideas on how to get it working again?

    Hello, unplug the iPhone from its charger, press Home and Power at the same time for 10 seconds, then release them simultaneously, and then turn on your iPhone normally.
