The mouse that turns off by itself

Hello,

I have a problem with my mouse. I have a Microsoft® Optical Mouse 200 that I bought a year ago. It was working perfectly until one day it started to "turn off." Basically, it's like I've unplugged the USB; Windows no longer detects it, and there's a little sound from Windows indicating that the USB has been removed, even though that's not true. I have to unplug the USB and plug it back in, and everything works again, but after 10 minutes the issue comes back. I unscrewed it to see if everything was okay inside, and it looked perfect with no damaged wires. Then I checked if there was a "bite" somewhere on the cable; there's no "bite," it's new. I really don't see where the problem is coming from.

My operating system: Windows® 10 Pro - 64Bit - FR

Have a good evening/day,
Henry.

Good evening,

No! Not now, I don't want him to leave. I need him, my wallet is begging me to save it. At the same time, I understand my wallet, a good mouse at LDLC is €25.

Have you tried your USB port to see if it works with something else?

I think you're going to have to say goodbye to your mouse.

The USB port has nothing, I plugged in my external hard drive, my keyboard, they work perfectly. But at the moment I’m writing this message, the mouse hasn't "bugged" at all. It seems random, whenever it wants to disconnect, it disconnects. What I'm saying is weird, but it's the truth. I think I have a unique mouse in the world.

No, it's a loose connection in the wire of the mouse.
