Eaton UPS shutting down by itself: is it time to change the battery?

Hello,

I have an Eaton Ellipse PRO 650 UPS, which powers two Synology NAS units. It has been installed for about 5 years in an office where there are almost never any power outages.

Recently, my equipment has gone offline, and I noticed that the UPS was turned off. What concerns me the most is that I receive emails from the NAS indicating that they were not shut down properly, even though the UPS is connected to the NAS that should send them the information to shut down cleanly in case of an issue.

On the UPS screen, the battery level is displayed as full, but the output charge level only has one bar (I’m not sure if this is important).

Do you think this issue may come from the battery, and that I should replace it?

Hello, I have exactly the same problem with my Eaton Protection 800 from 2017.
I ordered a battery to see. It doesn't even warn when the uninterruptible power supply is plugged into the mains, it just shuts down and I have to turn it back on manually and everything works again. However, unplugging it turns it off directly. Yet the battery is at 100%, 30 mins of autonomy, since the NAS... to be continued.
