Pioneer powers on but no sound!

Hello,
I have a Pioneer DEH - 2250Ub and as stated in the title, it turns on, the CD starts to play, I change the menus, etc., but no sound is coming from the speakers, please help me!
This happened because my cousin wet the car radio while it was plugged in and after that the sound stopped without blowing any fuses.
Since I'm quite handy in electronics, I of course checked the fuses which are working, I tested the speakers with another JVC car radio that works well and produces sound.
In terms of capacitors, nothing seems off at first glance, but it's a bit limited; I don't have a multimeter to test them and check all the components.
Some friends told me that it might be the audio board (sound card) that is dead! Any confirmations? Advice? Or help please?
