All programs open with Notepad HELP!!!!

Good evening,

I have a problem with my laptop running Vista. All my programs (like Mozilla, VLC, AVG, and others) open exclusively with Notepad. I don’t know what to do and I don’t want to lose all my data.

If you have a solution, I’m all ears.
Just to let you know, I’m not sure what I did to cause this.

    Hi,

    Run RstAssociations (version .scr)

    Click on "All" then "Restore"

    Restart the PC.

    Otherwise, are your shortcuts or your exe files opening directly with Notepad?

      Hi,

      If it doesn't work, I just need to know if it's the .LNK or .EXE extensions that need to be repaired, then copy the registry data to paste into a created .reg file and merge it into the registry.
