Hello, Product Name: HP PROBOOK 4720S
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

Here is the problem: My laptop turned off, black screen, and when I try to turn it back on, I see the HP logo followed by the message:
" Starting Drive Encryption Please wait... Safeboot has been corrupted (error 92h) ".

As a result, the hard drive indicator light stays solid, and the Caps Lock light blinks 5 times (once per second) then stops for 2 seconds, then blinks again like the first time, resulting in a total of 5 sets of 5 blinks.

I would like to point out that I had tried to upgrade to Windows 10 unsuccessfully and that I had serious issues with Windows Update (post on this forum).

I tried to find a solution on the HP forum, but they immediately mentioned repair estimates!

Hoping for a response, I thank you in advance.

When I press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, I get to a black screen with different options
    F1 System Information
    F2 System Diagnostics
    F7 HP Sparekey
    F9 Boot Device Options
    F10 BIOS Configuration
    F11 HP Recovery

and when I click on F10, I get a white screen with three options above
    File Security System Configuration

and for each of these three tabs, I get different choices but always on a white page and not black like the traditional access to safe mode etc. (which I no longer have)

I have tried everything, the different messages I received:
"Secure Boot has been compromised error 92h"
using the F11 key "A Disk Read Error Occurred" an error reading the disk occurred "1 time this message!

F2 system diagnostics and in this menu 3 possibilities F2 Boot Test where everything goes well; then F3 Execution Test: Memory check in progress up to 100% without message and finally F4 Hard Disk Test;: TEST 1 message Hard disk test Failed and reached 10% message "read failure error

I have put everything I could do in anticipation of a response
    best regards Thank you

It's weird, it seems like the hard drive has a problem.
      Has it been dropped?

Hello, no it didn't have a shock
I find this breakdown strange and on top of that I don't have many responses to help me find solutions....

The thing would be to put your hard drive in your desktop PC as a secondary drive.

After checking, I found an FCC WLAN ID section

so I don't think both are on this computer

      thank you for your research
