BOOKLET PRINTING: how to print 1 A3 image on 2 A4 pages

Hello,

I need to create a portrait-format booklet printed on A3 paper in such a way that I achieve a magazine-like layout. The goal is to print the entire document, fold the A3 sheets in half in one go, and staple everything in a central binding.

Therefore, I will have my cover page, A4 pages that will print facing each other in duplex mode using the booklet function, but my problem is that I also need to include visuals that must be visible on both pages of my booklet, in A3 format, whereas the printing itself, due to the booklet function, must occur on two different pages...

To summarize, let's say I have my cover page on page 1, my image that needs to be printed on pages 2 and 3, text on pages 4, 5, 6, and 7, and the last page of my booklet is blank. With 4 pages per A3 sheet, I should achieve the following print layout:
Sheet 1: recto Page 8 and page 1; verso page 2 and page 7
Sheet 2: recto Page 6 and page 3; verso page 4 and 5

However, I can't find the function to print my image separately like this...

Do you have any idea, please, knowing that it's impossible to use Publisher in my case?

Thank you in advance for your help.

It's a shame, because only Publisher could easily solve your problem...
You just have to take screenshots of the 7 A4 pages and cleverly paste them onto 2 A3 sheets, sliding and rotating them...

Thank you for your response. Indeed, with Publisher, the problem wouldn't have arisen, but my company doesn't want to pay for that tool... sniff.

Hello,

And what if you simply cut your image in half, one for each page.

Best regards

I think I'm indeed going to use this technique as a last resort... thank you for responding!

Good evening,

To do this, you need to:
- Specify the page format as A3
- In terms of layout, in the Margins tab, under Pages / View multiple pages, select Book Layout.
Link to 2 example files: Word document and PDF document that simulates printing: https://we.tl/OHbX2ueG4h

Thank you Pocampe for your response.

The technique works indeed if there are 2 images... However, I only have one to use but in a double page...

So I'm going to cut it in half to achieve the same result! :-)
