Hello,
I have 4 A4 pages in the same Word 2003 document.
I would like to print this document in A3 booklet format on a photocopier.
When I start printing my document, I manage to get my A3 booklet printed double-sided, but:
the inside pages are upside down.
I've looked for settings (checking the Rotate box, etc.) but I can't get what I want.
The benefit of this would spare me from having to do layouts.
Thank you in advance for the responses or advice.
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 16.0

You say you have resolved your issue. The practice in forums is that when you have found the solution yourself, you come back to explain it to interested passersby.
Thank you for your attention.
My apologies, I didn’t think my problem was really relevant. Anyway, after fumbling around in Word to find the solution, I eventually managed to get it.
I have 4 elements to print... At first, I thought of creating text boxes, inserting the data, and sending that to the photocopier, booklet mode, A3, landscape, double-sided, etc... In the end, as I explained in my first message, the A3 booklet in double-sided mode was indeed produced, but the inside was upside down. I tried several settings without finding a solution. I had created these text boxes thinking I could rotate them 180°, but I never could. So then, I arranged my elements on a separate page outside of text boxes and sent everything to the photocopier (same manipulations): the result was still poor.
I posted this message to see if someone had advice for me... and I continued my investigations until I found the solution.
In fact, after opening a standard Word document, you need to:
- Have these 4 elements that will make up the booklet without text boxes on 2 pages.
- For this, go to Page Layout, select landscape, A3 document, and especially "Columns" and choose the number of columns (2).
Once the document is ready, start printing on the photocopier in double-sided binding with the top facing up instead of booklet mode.
The document comes out correctly and in the right orientation on both sides. All that's left is to arrange the order of the elements you want to print in the booklet, and the document is ready.
That's the explanation of the problem.
And thank you :-)
Why shouldn't your problem deserve some attention? If you encountered it, others might too, and you’ll be helping them avoid a hassle in advance.
See you!
it has been a year since this message was posted and I just stumbled upon it by chance (not really actually since I have the same problem lol) and I will therefore try his method hoping that it works for my issue
that's why I say that his message is far from superfluous.
To print 4 A4 pages on an A3 sheet, you need to open the "page setup" window. In the first tab "Margins", select:
- Orientation: landscape
- Pages / Show multiple pages: book fold
In the "paper" tab, select:
- Paper size: A3
Close the window by clicking OK. Then open the "print" window and click on the "properties" tab and select:
- Document style: double-sided (book)
In the "paper" tab, select "A3"
Now you just have to print.
