Hello everyone,

I damaged my laptop SATA hard drive and I can no longer access it despite the recovery CDs.
I wanted to set it as a master/slave on my desktop computer, which has 2 SATA hard drives, but the connectors are not the same as the HDD from my laptop.
What can I do? Thanks for your answers.

Put it in an external hard drive enclosure, in SATA, and you will connect it to your desktop PC via USB!

Thank you Quentin for this answer, but I don't understand "connect via USB".

Using the external hard drive enclosure, into which you will place your external hard drive, you will connect it via USB to your desktop computer.

Thank you Quentin, I therefore need to buy a case in which my hard drive will be integrated and that I will connect via USB.
        Thank you for this answer.

    Hello

The pinout of SATA drives is the same for laptops and desktops.

Are you sure they are all SATA?
