Hello,
It has been 3 years since I used my Windows XP installed on an HP tower and I connect with Wi-Fi. I have never used the Ethernet cable. This morning, I decided to try connecting it to see if it still works. I plugged it in, turned it on, and it works well; all updates are normal. However, my problem is that I cannot connect it with the Ethernet cable because it lacks the driver, which is not installed, and I cannot find the right driver.
I need your help to install it; can you please help me?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Download and install --> 7Zip

Download this driver --> Ethernet
and place it in your documents.

Right-click on --> win_xp_2k3_32-14.8.0.5a.zip
Choose --> 7Zip
Choose --> extract to "win_xp_2k3_32-14.8.0.5a\"

Go to Device Manager.
Right-click on the ethernet controller
Update driver
No, not this time, next
Install from a list or a specified location, next
Include this location in the search
Browse
Go to your documents
Go to the unzipped driver folder --> win_xp_2k3_32-14.8.0.5a
Select the folder --> win_xp_2k3_32
Next, etc...
Restart.

Hello:kaneagle
Honestly, I really thank you a lot. In the end, it worked! I downloaded it this afternoon but I had no help on how to install it. As I already told you, you are a genius with drivers and software
Have a great evening.
