Hello everyone,
I am in a boarding school and I have a powerline adapter (CPL) that allows me to have Wi-Fi in my room. There is a NetGear adapter connected in the computer room and another one in my room.
After a month of use, my friends said they wanted one too because they can't get Wi-Fi in their rooms.
My question is the following: if they buy another powerline adapter from TP-Link (mine is a NetGear) and plug it into the same computer room, will it cause any issues, bugs, or anything else?
Thank you for your help and answers!

Hello,
You can mix powerline adapters from different brands, but they need to be on the same standard (like av200, ...). However, using models from the same brand is better ;-)
Also, on an electrical network, there is only one powerline network. If you connected your powerline adapter in the server room to the electrical network and the computer network, you shouldn't put another powerline adapter in that room. You need another powerline adapter that will be in a different room.
Best regards
