Hello,

(This topic is not a duplicate of the first where I explain that I lost the 2.4GHz)

Recently installed fiber, I wanted to connect my computer to the Ethernet port of my Bbox at the back (port n°1) while not wanting to disable the WiFi (since I can only connect on 5GHz....)
The problem is that no light is lit on my Bbox (except for the one where the Miami box is connected, the TV works)

The cable is the one provided with the box

Either the cable is defective (I hope....) or the Ethernet port of my computer is defective

Configuration: Dell Latitude Windows 7 Pro

Problem solved

It was the board that was twisted, one of the pins

Fairly complex but resolved

  And I tested port number 2, same reaction, no light
  In the device manager, my 2 cards are recognized (Wi-Fi card and PCI network cards)

  The Miami is connected via Ethernet to the box...
  So the cable works (the one that connects bbox>tele box).

  Except that you need to know if it's not the PC's Ethernet port that is faulty. ^^
  
  If you were to put this cable between the box and the TV and it turns on... the other cable is guilty.

  According to the device manager, yes my card is indeed recognized

    It doesn't mean that the card works physically if you haven't tested it elsewhere.
    You should first check if it's really a physical issue by booting your PC with a live CD, like Ubuntu, for example.

Here is a screenshot showing that my card is recognized

When I connected the Ethernet cable, there was an unknown device with an error code 28

  Look towards your Intel driver, it's probably not the right one for your Windows.

Give the device identification number of the unknown device
It's a number that should look like this example:
--> PCI\VEN_1969&DEV_1026&SUBSYS.......
If needed, check --> here

Well, I'm back with news
And I think I've understood the issue
Indeed, I have to disable my Wi-Fi card to activate the Ethernet cable
It may sound silly, but it's logical

  If both are going to the same box, yes.
  Do not disable the card, cutting the connection should be enough.

    Even cutting the connection wasn't enough
    It's a laptop, the two can't work at the same time
    Or just disable the wifi on the computer

    We should be able to use Wi-Fi and Ethernet at the same time on two different networks.

    Yes, but cutting the Wi-Fi connection should be enough, unless it reconnects automatically on its own afterwards.
