Microphone not recognized issue on MSI PC running Windows 10

Question

Hello, I need some help, I have a headset on my PC and the microphone is not recognized. Well, the laptop's microphone works fine but not the one on the headset... I tried updating the Realtek drivers but that didn't work either, so I went back to the previous version. Is it a problem with my sound card? Or the jack plugs? Thank you for your answers...

It's a new headset... there are 2 jack plugs or just one. For some time now, they have been releasing headsets/microphones equipped with a single jack plug, but your PC needs to be set up for: > a jack input that supports both the headset and the microphone. In your case, if your PC is equipped with 2 jacks... headset and microphone, you plug the microphone into the microphone jack and the headset into the headset jack and it should work. -- Don't forget to mark your post as "resolved" once the issue is fixed. Hello try this: right-click on the main volume speaker near the clock select 'Recording device' in the window that appears, check if you have 2 microphones If so, see which microphone is set as default and change it if necessary so that the headset microphone is "default" give it a try In my case, I only have one microphone and here’s what it looks like  -- Don't forget to mark your post as "resolved" once the issue is fixed.
