Little headache with Word...
I want my text to fill a complete line, I've justified it, I've increased the character spacing but how do I get the words to fit on a whole line, all the way to the end???
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.6

Hi, lillly83

It's me again.
I just stumbled upon another solution: You create a table with a single cell and in Table Properties/Cell/Options you check Fit to Text.

Bye!

I was about to suggest Format, Fonts, Character Spacing, but the solution of text adjustment within the cell is great!
Indeed, we find some good tips under the Caribbean sun!! Bravo and thanks again, we learn a lot on this forum.

Well, I know it's a bit late for the answer, but I might be able to help others, as I had the same issue:
on open office to stretch text you need to:
- select the desired text
- click on Format
- click on Character
- look at spacing and click on Default
- replace Default with Extended
- change the pts and enter the desired number

And there you go :^)

Hello Darky,

Yes, indeed: more than 9 years later, it's a bit late! 😉 Since lillly83 got the excellent answer #4 from Raymond PENTIER, she was able to stretch her text out by one
single word, or a single phrase, across a wide width, and it's been a long, long
time now since she was able to print her signs: the demonstration
has been over for a long time! 😏 Unless the signs were meant to
welcome someone (or a group) upon their arrival from the plane (at the airport)?

That said, you are right: your answer for Open Office can still be useful for
people who want to go demonstrate or to welcome new arrivals! 😉

Best regards. 😊

Hello,

In the settings, adjust the margin size. Go to 'File' then 'Page Setup' and reduce the margins as you wish.

Thank you, but it's not the margins I want to change... I must be expressing myself poorly...

Instead of having my text like this:

hey
how are you?

I want the text to finish at the end of the line even if there's only one word:

h e y
how are you?

It must be something really simple, but I can't find it... oh well
thanks anyway
