Hello,
I just purchased Word, but when trying to install it on my PC (Windows 8), an error message appears:
30174-4-32
saying that a problem prevented the installation.
I had previously installed the trial version of Office some time ago. I followed the advice that said to uninstall the entire suite with a file to download, but a problem arises again (I've repeated the process about ten times...) and even going through the control panel, it is impossible to uninstall the program. I restarted my computer, deleted the installation files of Word, PowerPoint, etc., but nothing changed.
What should I do?
Thank you.

Good evening,
Try this:
https://support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/office/d%c3%a9sinstaller-office-manuellement-4e2904ea-25c8-4544-99ee-17696bb3027b?ui=fr-fr&%3brs=fr-fr&%3bad=fr&rs=fr-fr&ad=fr
Then try this: https://support.microsoft.com/fr-fr/office/code-d-erreur-30174-4-pendant-l-installation-d-office-5d5551db-266f-47b3-93fc-d51c2e8f4c0b?ui=fr-fr&rs=fr-fr&ad=fr
After that we will see more clearly.
When you have resolved your issue please remember to mark it as resolved!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!............-
Hello, thanks for your reply
I tried but it gave me the same error code...
I don't know if it's related, but for several weeks now, when I go to the task manager, my disk is at 100% or is rising from 5 to 100% while in the details almost all the sections are at 0.- Same for me about the disk issue in the task manager. (I've never focused on that, so don't think it's a game-changer.)
Otherwise, can you give me in detail how you proceeded?
Example:
1) I deleted with -------- Everything went smoothly or not.
2) I cleaned the registry with ------
3) I disabled my firewall (and its name), then the antivirus (and its name)
And so on...
Because it's not simple when you don't have the PC in front of you, so as many details as possible to avoid misunderstandings.
Thank you.
